Excellent base for the table.

Despite the shipper bending the box, putting some creases in the roll, the creases settled out when the roll was opened up and allowed to relax for a few days before using. Only a couple minor imperfections in the 'good' surface which did not show as problems when I put the speed cloth over the top. I wish I would have checked the entire surface before cutting as I might have been able to avoid them. My poker group was quite impressed with the table, and those 'imperfections' were not noticed at all. I highly recommend this product.
